Movie Review - Temple Grandin

Movie Synopsis - Temple Grandin
Movie Trailer - Temple Grandin

This movie that I'm going to review on is not a main stream movie. Not many people know about this movie, Temple Grandin, until Claire Danes won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in Miniseries or Television Film Category. A colleague of mine introduced me to this movie. On one evening after work, some of my colleagues decide to sit down and watch it together. As a movie fan, I wouldn't miss any chances to catch a nice movie.

Temple Grandin is an awesomely inspiring movie. Temple Grandin's mom describe her daughter as different but not any lesser than any ordinary child. Her mom had faith in her and never gave up on her daughter. Temple Grandin is also a very determined and hard working woman. Nothing can stop her from achieving her dreams and targets in life. I felt so inspired after watching the movie.

Claire Danes gave her viewers a very memorable performance in this movie. Besides her acting, there is nothing much to shout about the movie. I find the movie quite dim. There were not many memorable scenes and the scripts were so-so. I expect her final speech to be very awe-inspiring but it was not as impactful as I thought it would be. It is just good enough but I'm very sure it can be better. I felt the flash backs were unnecessarily long and confusing. There should be more scenes on her childhood days and the mother-daughter bond.

Overall, it is a good weekend family movie. I rate it 2/5.

"Different but not less.."
