Movie Review - Brothers

I was surprised that this movie didn't win any major awards. It is good. The actors of the movie was simply awesome. All of them played the character well and I seriously think Tobey Maguire deserved some recognition for his outstanding performance in Brothers. Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman also gave their best in this movie. Even those two little girls, Bailee Madison and Taylor Grace Geare displayed some very interesting acting skills.
The plot of the movie was good. No time for me to feel sleepy. I was caught in an intensely anticipating mode throughout the whole movie. So much emotions were drawn out from within me when I watched the movie. I was totally drown by it. As the focus of the movie is more on acting, the scripts were not that prominent.

The part I like the most is when Grace told her husband the truth about the kiss. I was totally touched by her bravery and I think that will always be the right thing to do. Sorry if I'm still prowling on the issue of honesty here but I just can't take lies as I'm always a bluntly honest guy. After being overly pissed by Marlena from Water for Elephants, I'm so proud and happy with the courage possessed by Grace in Brothers.

I love the poster too. Simple yet related. The concept of the movie is also in the poster. If you watch the movie, the whole poster will make sense to you!

Overall rating, 3/5. Good actors put into good use.
