Movie Review - The Detective 2

I really want to write a very detail synopsis for The Detective 2 but I find it very hard. The movie is just too complicated for me to remember the plot. I don't even know how to start and when it ends. It was a serious disappointment. I was looking forward to watch it when I saw the poster because I really enjoyed the first movie. The sequel however was a serious disappointment. I will try my best to chalk out a synopsis.

My synopsis is what I understand from the movie. When I was watching the movie, I didn't even know which sequence comes first and which comes next. The movie is a collage. Everything was just pasted here and there and we were left to find out what is the drawing or in this case the movie is about. I might be slow. But if Jas had the same feeling, this movie is certified confusing. Overall plot and story line is bad. It would help if at the end, they did a reenactment of the whole story but that didn't happen. I was left hanging there to see the credits roll, still thinking how to piece out the whole movie. I think this movie is a total disaster.

Acting wise; credits to Aaron Kwok. His performance was not as disturbing at part 1 but the style was still there. Besides him, all other actors were pretty much anyone-could-do-the-same-job. I felt that the script is very random to a point that I think it is impromptu. If it is really impromptu then I think it is quite a nice job. Overall setting and mood of the story was relevant. Just the flow of the movie is seriously disastrous!

Overall rating, 1/5. Don't watch it unless your mind is clear. Fingers crossed.
