The movie was good. The people behind the voices were awesome. I particularly like Jamie Foxx role as Nico, a canary. The voices did a great job. I can feel all the emotions from the voices. The best part was somehow the characters' features resemblance the people behind their voices.

The animation was awesome! It was so colourful. I really like the animation of Rio. The animation team for Rio really did a great job! It made Brazil looked extremely beautiful and I would want to visit it some day.

The songs in the movie was good as well.I fell in love with the song Fly Love by Jamie Foxx. It is a very sweet song. It made me smile every time I listen to it. It reminded me of me and Jas when we first met. I bought the soundtrack and now it is playing in my car all the time! I love it! Another of my favourite song from Rio soundtrack is "Telling The World" by Taio Cruz.

The jokes were funny. I was laughing like mad in the cinema. So far till date, I think this is the best animation of the year. Nothing much to complain about the movie. Just that more jokes would be good. With all the stress at work, I seriously need more good laughs. Hahahaha!

One of my friend who watch Hop concluded his opinion on Hop with on one word. Suck.

I wouldn't used such a strong word but my opinion on the movie doesn't differ very far from that one word. The funny scenes were not significantly funny and there were not much family value in it. I don't even know how I feel the moment I walked out of the cinema. To be exact, I don't even know how should I feel after watching the movie. Every movie should have a concept and target feeling the producer wants the viewers to feel after watching the movie. Yes. There is a concept. A weak one. But I don't know what to feel. Gosh... Some movies are so boring that they make me sleepy. I don't feel anything for this movie. Is it good or bad?

Russell Brand is not funny at all in this movie. James Marsden role can be played by anyone at all. It is a very flat character that doesn't require an actor with the capacity like James Marsden to take up the role.

Suck is a very strong word to describe the movie but if there is any word least stronger than suck and just before suck, that would be the word I use to describe Hop.

It was Jas 2nd time watching this movie. She really like the soundtrack. She highly recommend me to go watch the movie and write a review on the movie. Actually, I heard about this movie for quite some time already. The name is really catchy. Even after watching the movie, I do not know why is it called Sucker Punch. But, I have to admit that the name Sucker Punch is a really good name for the movie. Somehow I feel the name is really suitable for the movie.  

Just as the movie started, I knew it was a Zack Snyder movie. His style of directing a movie is just so original. The concept of the story is very unique. It uses an imaginary fighting/combat scene to represent a dance scene. This idea is very new to me.

On the whole, the movie was okay. Nothing much to comment on acting and script. The whole new concept of the movie is captivating enough to make me sit through the whole movie even though I was very tired after work. Well, I did yawn once or twice but I have to admit that those sci-fi fighting scenes were quite nicely done.

There is only one particular fighting scene that I didn't enjoy. The scene where they fought the robots in the train. I can't see anything at all. I only see flashy lights and light reflecting iron robots moving. The whole scene was too bright. I can't see how they kill the robots and the whole operation happen so fast. The scene was kinda hasty. 

The girls were hot especially Jamie Chung. I like her skin colour. The heavy make up really makes Emily Browning looked like a baby doll. Blondie was kinda redundant. I don't see why her character was needed. They can just combine Amber and Blondie. The sisterhood story between Rocket and Sweet Pea were straight forward. 

Overall, it was a good movie.Nothing much to complain about and also nothing much to boast about except for the interesting concept of replacing dance scene with fighting scene. By the way, it is also a movie filled with moral values.

I rate it 2/5. A daring new concept for movies.

Movie Review - I Am Number Four

I saw the trailer of I Am Number Four for quite some time already but due to the busy schedule at work these days, I couldn't find time to go catch the movie. Even if I had the time, I would rather spend staying at home resting. I did a little reading on the plot and story, I find it quite interesting and I expect there will be a lot of sci-fi fighting scene filled with visual effects. I've got some very interesting comments on the movie.

When I first saw the trailer, I thought it would just be another one of those teen flick where all the actors are good looking, well built with 6 packs abs and all the actresses will be pretty, sexy and blonde. True enough, when I watch the movie, it was exactly as I thought.

The movie was listed to be 114 mins. The best part of the movie was only at the last 10 mins. I wasted 104 mins of my precious time. When the movie reach the hour mark, Jas whispered to me and say, "I'm very sure there will be part 2." At about 80 mins, I saw 3 people coming in with popcorns. I bet someone must have tipped them to only watch the last 30 mins of the movie and you'll get the idea of the whole movie.

I was so disappointed with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg. Both of them had a part in producing this movie. It is a true disappointment. The movie was very draggy and without substance in the first 100 min of the movie. It didn't explain who are the Loriens, why are these 9 child aliens so special that they were so well protected, why the Magadorians wanted to kill the 9 of them so badly, so many more unanswered questions. I was so frustrated when I came out of the cinema.

The reason I wanted to watch this movie is because I thought the movie will answer me all the questions I had after reading the synopsis and watching the trailer but when I stepped out of the cinema, all the questions were still there. Why must they be killed in sequence? Why did they only realise they had to find each other at the end of the movie? Oh gosh...as I'm typing this, more questions came out.

Overall, it was a boring movie. Don't watch it even if you do not have any choices. If you really wanna watch it, just go for the last 30 mins. You'll get the whole idea of the movie. Don't bother watching part 2 because part 2 is usually worst than part 1.
